Due to the situation of COVID-19, the conference will be held mainly online. Please note the following changes.

  1. The deadline for the submission of abstracts (of no more than 300 words) is extended to 28 February 2022. We will notify participants of their paper’s acceptance by 15 April 2022. Closed
  2. There will be no conference fee.
  3. The conference will be held in two time slots (Part 1 and Part 2). The recording of the paper presentations will be made available on the website during the period of the conference only for registered participants.

Hiroko Nagasaki is a professor of Hindi literature at the University of Osaka. Her research focuses on early Hindi devotional literature and Hindi metrics. Recent publications are the co-authored book Triveṇī Texts of Three Literary Traditions in Early Modern Languages of North India. A Reader (2023) and ‘The Rhythm of Early Hindi Poetry as Reflected in the Piṅgala Literature’ (2024).
