Note for Presenters


Presentations

  • Keynote: presentation (45 min.) + discussion (15 min.)
  • General presentation (20 min.) + discussion (10 min.)
  • For online presentation, we will use Zoom with the screen sharing function. The meeting IDs will be sent before the conference.
  • Discussion is basically conducted during the discussion time and also via chat on Zoom. 
  • Please join the Zoom meeting 15 minutes before the timeslot in which you will give your presentation and test your microphone and screen sharing.

Notes on connecting with Zoom:

  • You can also test your speaker and microphone from the “mute” menu.
  • You can choose the best microphone from the “mute” menu.
  • We have experienced sharing problems with iPad or iPhone. Please put your presentation file on your iCloud drive and test sharing in advance.

We will record presentations, which will be made available on the website during the period of the conference only for registered participants.
In case of network problems, presenter can send the video recordings of their presentations in advance. If you would like to do so, please let me know by 10 July, 2022.
If a presentation does not work well due to any network problem, we will ask the presenter to send the video recording of his/her presentation as soon as possible during the conference.

To encourage discussion, we would recommend you to share your PowerPoint presentation or draft among the panel members.

Hiroko Nagasaki is a professor of Hindi literature at the University of Osaka. Her research focuses on early Hindi devotional literature and Hindi metrics. Recent publications are the co-authored book Triveṇī Texts of Three Literary Traditions in Early Modern Languages of North India. A Reader (2023) and ‘The Rhythm of Early Hindi Poetry as Reflected in the Piṅgala Literature’ (2024).
